Approach

We offer transformative Art Therapy designed to foster mindfulness and self-awareness through creative expression. With over twenty years experience with meditation, both practicing and assisting others on their path, I bring a wealth of experience into my art therapy practice. Since completing my Masters of Art Therapy I have about four years experience both in inpatient health facilities as well as private practice through NDIS.  I utilize my expertise to guide participants toward healing and personal growth. My approach is very much holistic and whole person centred, going beyond the narrow focus on symptoms and treatment, acknowledging the wider social, psychological, societal and cultural factors that may affect the individual and their healthcare journey. I believe in the transformative power of safety and gentle encouragement in order to foster expression and make space for healing.
My sessions are person-centred, and will cater to your individual intentions and goals for therapy. We will work together to identify your needs and gently move forward in a way that feels safe and accessible for you. I am always open to feedback, reflections and I’m committed to ongoing learning.

Our process is simple and thoughtful.

Whether you want to explore possibilities and be playful or simply have directed well-being themed sessions we are here to help you to get there.

Some examples of themed sessions are:

Goal setting, Self-awareness, Self-talk, emotions, gratitude, behaviour change, challenging perfectionism, values, coping with stress, boundaries, self-care, and support networks.

  • "Art Therapy was so different from other therapies I've tried in the past because it gave me a way to visualise what's going on and make sense of it...I find it quite hard to make sense of my head, so it helped me to get a sense of what was going on..."

    —Betty client

  • "My son was able to go back to school and showed more confidence and calm. "

    —Nerissa client’s mother
